On August 8, the Missionary Servants of the Word community celebrated the Feast of Our Lady of the Magnificat at the "Cristo del Desierto" lay formation house in California, in an atmosphere of fraternity, prayer, and missionary communion.
The day’s events included "Las Mañanitas" (morning serenade), Lauds, meditation, Eucharistic Adoration, and the celebration of the Sacrament of Reconciliation, culminating in the Holy Eucharist presided over by Fr. Juan Martín Escobedo Cepeda, MSP, delegate of the Superior General.
During the celebration, 11 brothers entered the Novitiate and 8 began the Postulancy. Additionally, 2 brothers made their First Religious Profession and 3 renewed their vows, reaffirming their surrender to the Lord and their commitment to the missionary charism.
The celebration brought together approximately 350 people, along with priests and missionaries from various missions, demonstrating the fraternity and universality of our religious family.
We thank God for the gift of vocations and ask, through the intercession of Our Lady of the Magnificat, for the perseverance of our brothers and the grace to continue proclaiming the Word of God.
